The NOAA RESTORE Science Program is planning to announce its next funding competition between mid-April and mid-May of 2016. This competition will focus on two of the Science Program’s ten long-term research priorities:
- Comprehensive understanding of living coastal and marine resources, food web dynamics, habitat utilization, protected areas, and carbon flow
- Decision-support tools to assist resource managers with management decisions planned to sustain habitats, living coastal and marine resources, and wildlife
Proposals will be invited for projects up to three years in length with $15-16 million in total available for award. A decision has yet to be reached on the number of individual awards that will be made. Letters of intent will likely be due 45 days after the announcement is released with full proposals likely due 90 days after the announcement is released.
