At the Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill and Ecosystem Science (GOMOSES) Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, the NOAA RESTORE Science Program will lead a session entitled, “Use of Ecological and Socioeconomic Indicators to Demonstrate Ecosystem Recovery.” The session will take place on Tuesday, February 7 from 2:00 – 3:30 PM CT in the Strand 13 Ballroom. It will focus on the development, evaluation, and application of ecological and socioeconomic indicators in the Gulf of Mexico. The session will feature presentations by researchers supported by the NOAA RESTORE Science Program and other researchers working to advance the use of indicators in the region (additional details).
The Science Program will also participate in other upcoming conferences including the State of the Gulf of Mexico Summit 2017 (March 26-28, 2017, Houston, Texas), and the Gulf of Mexico Alliance All-hands (March 29-30, 2017, Houston, Texas). I hope to see many of you at these meetings as well.
