A project funded by the NOAA RESTORE Science Program has recently published an online data portal containing information about fish spawning aggregations in the Gulf of Mexico. The two-year project was led by a diverse group of experts from NOAA, University of Texas at Austin, LGL Ecological Research Associates, Inc., Gulf of Mexico Coastal Ocean Observing System (GCOOS), University of Florida, and The Nature Conservancy.
The data portal is a great tool for resource managers involved in monitoring and managing these fisheries.
